Soldier's body taken home

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA  
TIRUCHIRAPALlI, June 13: The body of Nayak R Kamaraj, who was killed recently in the Kargil action, was brought here on Sunday enroute to his native town of neighbouring Thanjavur.

Commanding Officer of the 117 Infantry Battalion of the Territorial Army, Trichy, Col S K Mangotra received the body. Kamaraj was attached to the 244 Heavy Mortor regiment.

Wreaths were placed on the mortal remains of the gallant soldier on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff, General Officer Commander-in-Chief, Southern Command, Pune, and the Station Commander here.
