Dean of the faculty J K Syan said this step was being adopted to ``prevent trouble''. Til last year, forms were distributed at the main building and the Padra and Nizampura colleges.

Announcing that the forms would be available at the faculty between 11 am and 3 pm till June 21, Syan confirmed that there was no possibility of reviving spot admissions this year. He said, ``The admission system will start once all the forms are collected and the merit list will be announced a week after all the forms had been collected.''

Despite all the disturbances, as many as 6,700 forms had already been distributed, Syan said, adding that the faculty authorities had also decided to continue collecting development fee from students, as it would help them increase infrastructural facilities.
