Body found on Tapi bank
The Chowk Bazaar police recovered the dead body of Laxmi alias Lila Balwant Chaudhary (22) from the banks of the Tapi on Sunday morning. Lila reportedly had an argument with her husband over a minor matter and had walked out of the house on Saturday. Balwant Chaudhary had reportedly prevented her from going out late in the night to fetch milk for the child. The woman is suspected to have committed suicide by jumping into the river. A case under CrPC 174 has been registered in the Chowk Bazaar police station.

Suicide
22-year-old Juliet Solomon Tailor, a married woman residing at Kharwa Mohalla in Nanpura area of the city committed suicide by consuming poison during the early hours of Sunday. A complaint was lodged in the Athwalines police station by one Hemantkumar Bhatt, a neighbour. The police are investigating the reason behind the extreme step, and a case under CrPC 174 has been registered.

Youths missing
Three youths are reported missing from separate localities in the city, cases registered on Sunday said. In the first case registered at the Umra police station, 22-year old Jaswant Mohan Jariwla is reported missing since Saturday afternoon. Family members told the police that the dim-witted youth was last seen walking around his house at Anandmangal Society, Umra. Jayesh Chimanlal Patel (22), a resident of Sapna Apartments in Katargam is also missing since June 10, family members told the Katargam police. Jayesh informed the family that he was going out for a stroll and did not return since. In the third case registered in the Rander police station, Shahid Shaikh Allauddin (19) is missing since June 9. The boy had come to his relatives at Subhashnagar slum, Rander Road, a few days ago from his house in Malegaon in Maharashtra. Inquiries at Malegaon by the family members revealed that he is not there either.
