Crime beat -- Chandigarh

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
One held for forgery
JhajJar district resident Rishi Pal allegedly produced a forged certificate to get himself enrolled in the Punjab Police. The police have arrested him for forgery and cheating.

Car thief held, vehicle recovered
The city police have arrested a resident of Muzaffarnagar district, Tek Ram, for allegedly stealing a car. The stolen car DL-4C-1555 has been recovered by the Karnal police.

Two arrested for harassment
Sector 33 resident, Shekhar, and Sector 41 resident, Salinder Singh, were arrested for allegedly sexually harassing women at the Panjab University. They have been held under section 294 of the IPC.

Sector 37 resident assaulted n Sector 37 resident, Parveen Kumar, reported to the police that a resident of the same sector, Sunil Kumar, assaulted him. The police have registered a case.
