A two minutes silence was also observed in honour of those who had laid down their lives on the Kargil front and the YC workers also took a pledge to contribute whole-heartedly to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund in order to help the nation at this juncture.

The Youth Congress also appealed to the high command to give the Lok Sabha ticket to Parneet Kaur as she was a safe bet to win this prestigious seat.

Meanwhile, speaking on this occasion, state Youth Congress chief Devinder Singh Babbu lambasted the state government for its failures on all fronts and added that the electorate were not satisified with the performance of the government. The state YC chief also said the party will win all LS seats in the forthcoming LS polls. Babu was also presented with a siropa on the occasion.
