Six of family drugged

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
Kharar, JUNE 16: Six members of a family, including four children, were drugged by two unidentified persons at Anandpur Sahib, yesterday.

According to the police sources, the culprit, however, failed to rob the victims. Roopnagar Civil Surgeon Dr Rajinder Singh Saggu and Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr Ashok Kumar Khullar, told ENS that all the six members of the family were out of danger and their condition was stable. The victims have been admitted to the Roopnagar Civil Hospital.

The victims include Raj Pal Singh (35), his wife Beero Devi (30), their children Mohit (3), Rozy (12), Rohit (6), and Amit (10), all residents of Yandiala village in Karnal district.

The Civil Surgeon and DMC said the victims were drugged when they were standing outside Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib gurdwara after paying obeisance. They were offered parsad by two unidentified persons. After consuming it they fell unconscious. But, Beero Devi was still in her senses. She cried for help, following which the culprits fled the scene.
