TDP denies alliance with NCP

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
HYDERABAD, JUNE 16: The Telugu Desam Party on Wednesday denied reports that it was considering an alignment with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by Sharad Pawar.

TDP spokesman Ummareddy Venkateswarlu made it clear that so far there was no communication whatsoever between Pawar and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on this aspect. ``I will would like to make it clear that there is no proposal for such talks in future too,'' he said.

He was referring to reports in a section of press quoting NCP leader Devendra Dwivedi as stating that there was a possibility of both the parties holding discussions on electoral understanding.
