PATIALA, JUNE 20: Jathedar Rajinder Singh Tohra, district president of the All India Shriomani Akali Dal, criticised Parkash Singh Badal for expelling Prem Singh Chandumajra from his party. Calling it a meaningless action, he said Badal had done this to divert the public's attention from the real issues in the state.Reacting to the expulsion, he said Badal had already lost the right to work as president of the Shriomani Akali Dal because he was removed from his post during the Ludhiana convention of the party's primary members recently. He said an expelled person did not have the right to expel another person.
Badal has only one mission -- to oppose Tohra and the panthic forces and he is going to finish the Shriomani Akali Dal through his acts, the Jathedar said.
He said Badal only wanted his men to stay in power. Others who joined issue with Rajinder Singh Tohra were Bachan Singh Suphera, Darbara Singh Seona, Giani Kartar Singh Bhoglan and Jathedar Savinder Singh Sabherwal.
