CHANDIGARH, JUNE 20: Some 200 people enjoyed the beach party organised at Fun City's water-park some 30 kms from here yesterday night -- but none more than the three lads who got so carried away that they dropped their knickers and plunged into the pool."Yes, that embarrassment did happen," admitted Sandeep Gupta, one of the sponsors, "but skinny-dippers vanished as soon as the cops were called in."Truckloads of sand created an artifical beach; palm-fronds mimicking coconut trees, little thatched huts and a volley ball net completed the set.
Aside from the bare-alls, the party was a cool, good-time affair. Youngsters danced to the blare of a 5000-watt music system. Of course all the hot Punjabi numbers played on through the night and, believe it or not, Macareena still got the crowder up and swaying.
A few youngsters came in beach-y loose tops and bermudas but they were definitely in the minority. More to be seen were the customary skin-tight tops, jeans and mini's. Guys with big biceps favoured sleeveless T-shirts, the better to show off in.
Interestingly, families dominated the scene with hardly any singles to be seen. As of 11:30 p.m. the party was still going strong. D-rexx Event Managers organised the party and Rishi was the D.J.
