In the Sub-Junior category, Vipin of Uttar Pradesh outclassed Kamal of Jammu and Kashmir in the first round to enter the semifinal of the E-3 division.

Dharamvir (Haryana A) and Anil Kumar of PEPSU also scored comfortable victories over their respective opponents to clash in the final of A-7 group in the Sub-Junior section. Dharamvir beat Dharminder of Rajasthan while Anil Kumar outplayed Deepak of Delhi.

However, the quickest bout of the day was between Devender Negi (Chandigarh) and Jahid of Delhi in the Senior group in the feather weight. Devender with swirling left hook knocked his opponent in the 40 seconds of the first round to enter the final.
