Angali hanged herself just after her brother Suresh left the house with his wife, who was to undergo an operation at KEM Hospital. The deceased was left with her five-year-old neice when the incident took place, according to Senior Inspector Vivek Jadhav of the Worli police station.

Police said Anjali had been searching for a job for a year and was dejected at her futile efforts.

Anjali used to reside with her brother and sister-in-law while her parents are in their native place.
