CHANDIGARH, JUNE 21: Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) has donated Rs 1 crore to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund in order to help the bereaved families of martyrs who have laid down their lives while protecting the frontiers of the country.A statement issued here added that IFFCO employees have also donated one day's salary, which amounts to another Rs 15.5 lakh.
Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED) Chairman P.K. Chaudhery stated here that HAFED has contributed Rs 25 lakh towards the Chief Minister War Heroes' Relief Fund.
The Bank of Punjab has decided to mobilise contributions from the general public for the Army Central Welfare Fund for the families of soldiers affected by the Kargil operations.
