10 stolen cycles recovered
The city police have arrested a Maloya Colony resident, Anand Kumar, for allegedly committing thefts and recovered 10 cycles and a scooter stepney from his possession. Further investigations are on, according to the police.

Trespass, theft case registered
Bhupinder Pal Thakur, manager of a printing press in Industrial Area, reported to the police that some persons stole some goods after breaking one of the walls of his premises. The police have registered a case of trespass and theft.

Liquor seized; two arrested
The city police have arrested Pinjore resident, Rajinder Kumar, and Sector 26 resident, Madan Lal, from near the Modella turn, while they were reportedly carrying two boxes of whisky and a box of beer. In a separate case, a Colony Number 5 resident, Budhi Ram, was arrested from the roundabout of Sectors 43 and 44. The police have registered two separate cases and are investigating.

One arrested for stealing briefcase
An Attawa village resident, M. C. Yaidi, has been arrested for allegedly stealing a briefcase which contained a few documents and an identity card. The stolen briefcase has been recovered.

Restaurant owner issued threats
Mukhtiar Singh, owner of a restaurant in Sector 46, reported to the police that two women trespassed into his premises, threw away restaurant articles and ran away. He alleged that they also issued threats. The police have registered a case of issuing threats and trespass.

2 admitted to PGI
Two persons were admitted to the PGI in unconscious condition in two separate cases. While one person was brought from the Industrial Area, another was brought from Sector 21 last night. Both persons are unidentified, according to police sources.

2 cars stolen
Sector 37 resident, Satinder Pal, reported that his Maruti car (CH-01-K) was stolen from a parking lot in Sector 35. The police have registered a case. Meanwhile, a Sector 10 resident of Panchkula, Maggi, has also complained that her Maruti car was stolen from her residence on the intervening night of June 21 and 22. The police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
