Pak will fire first nuke -- Netizens

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
CALCUTTA, JUNE 27: Pakistan would be the first to exercise the nuclear option in the event of outbreak of war between the two countries, according to an opinion poll conducted by a Pakistani organisation on the internet. The majority of net surfers in India were for the Union Cabinet giving the go-ahead to the defence forces for crossing the LoC, according to a number of opinion polls on the net.

In the recent opinion poll conducted at www.Ghalib.Com news site, an emphatic 48 per cent of Pakistani net surfers were of the opinion that Pakistan would first press the nuclear button in the event of a full-scale war between the two neighbours.

Twenty-seven per cent, however, put the onus of using the nuclear bomb on India in the event of such an eventuality while the rest, not a negligible number, felt both sides would show restraint.

Altogether 1,637 net surfers, most of them Pakistanis, took part in the poll, said Nalin Sharma, brand manager of a city-based information technology group.

Altogether 60 percent of the respondents in the www.123india.Com site voted for ``cutting Pak supply, stopping casualties and boosting our soldiers and teaching Pak a lesson''.

On the official site of the Army, www.army in kashmir.org, a detailed account of the recovered weapons, historical perspective of the issue, the killings on the enemy's side are being regularly updated.
