Re-assessment by July 10
The re-assessment procedure for the SSC examinations will be completed by July 10. The SSC results were declared in the first week of June and the students had applied for re-assessment a week after the results were declared. Some 15,000 students had applied for re-assessment.

BoB gesture
The Bank of Baroda has agreed to sponsor 25 road-sweeping machines, costing around Rs 3 lakhs, for the Vadodara Municipal Corporation, according to a civic spokesman.

BKS meeting
The annual general meeting of the Baroda Kerala Samajam will be held at the Mahatma Gandhi Nagar Gruh at 7 pm on July 4. BKS secretary K S Chandran has asked all members to be present for the meeting.

DSO raids
District supply officials have detected irregularities at four outlets -- two fair price shops and two kerosene outlets -- and sealed various rationed items such as kerosene, wheat and sugar worth about Rs 5,000. An official spokesman said the dealings of Ghanshyam Shah and Jitendra Chauhan and kerosene dealers K C Shah and Mohammad Ismail, were being investigated further.

ONGC donation
The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation has contributed Rs 15 crore to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for the war-affected Army personnel and their families. In addition, ONGC officers have donated a day's salary -- adding up to Rs 80 lakhs -- to show solidarity with jawans who are fighting in Kargil.

Bail granted
A city court on Monday granted bail to Rajendra Desai, accused in the February assault on city-builder Upendra Desai in Alkapuri. He was ordered to furnish a surety of Rs 25,000.
