Interviews for BBA at GCG, 46 from Aug 2
  • Interviews for the BCA classes of the Punjab University will be held from July 29 to August 1, at the Ramgarhia Girls College, while the interviews for the BBA course will be held from August 2 to August 5 at the Government College in Sector 46. A press release issued by the PU Registrar, Prof Paramjit Singh, stated that the students should submit filled application forms, which were distributed at the entrance test centres on June 27, at the two centres latest by July 24.

    PUSU demands early appointment of DSW

  • The Panjab University Students' Union (PUSU), following a meeting of the office bearers, has demanded early appointment of a new DSW, a press release stated. It was added that the issue of problem being faced by hostel residents owing to the closure of mess and canteen in every hostel was also discussed, the release stated.

    GGDSD teachers flay Pakistan

  • The executive committee of the GGDSD College Teachers' Union at its meeting held here today condemned Pakistan "for unleashing undeclared war on India.'' In a joint release issued today, Union president I.K. Chopra, secretary B.S. Moondi and joint secretary Manpinder Kaur have appealed to the International Human Rights Commission to investigate the "inhuman and barbaric act of the Pakistan intruders in violating the Geneva Convention'' and demanded punishment for those who mutilated the bodies of Indian soldiers. It was decide to contribute Rs 25,000 towards the Army Welfare Fund, the release stated.
