District Collectorate sets up centre for continuing education

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, June 29: The district collectorate has set up continuing education centres for people who were targeted during the literacy campaign between 1993 and 1997.

According to an official spokesman, this was disclosed at a high-level meeting chaired by District Collector Anil Mukim on Tuesday. The spokesman said that the centres have been established at community centres in the villages and also in Panchyat garhs for the 2.22 lakh people who attained literacy during the period. Besides continuing education, the literates would also be provided information about various cultural and social schemes initiated by the government both at the State- and Central-level for villagers.
