Book on Jyotirlings released

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
VADODARA, June 29: Writer and journalist Avinash Maniar has written a book on Dwadash Jyotirling Darshan. The 32-page book in Gujarati contains descriptions of 12 Jyotirlings in the country. Considered to be the first Gujarati book on the subject to have photographs, it also covers how each of the lings are worshiped, the history of the place where they are located, and legends associated with the lings. The importance of the places from the tourism point of view have also been incorporated.

The tallest ling is in Somnath and the shortest in Mallikarjun, South India.
