VADODARA, June 28: Sleuths of the Prevention of Crime Branch (PCB) arrested two youths from the M S University premises on Tuesday afternoon and recovered a .32 bore countrymade revolver and five rounds of ammunition from them.While one of them has been identified as Suresh Chaturvedi, a native of village Bhargavan in Hindon district of Rajasthan who was staying with his cousin in Manjelpur here for the last one month, the other one has been identified as Jayesh Sharma, who stayed in the Subodhnagar area of Manjelpur. Sharma originally hails from Mathura in UP. While the countrymade revolver was seized from Chaturvedi, five re-filled cartridges were recovered from Sharma.
According to PCB inspector D N Mishra, on a tip-off, a police team caught the two youths sitting behind the Commerce Faculty. They were showing the revolver and the ammunition to students passing by in order to attract them to buy it. Mishra said it was not known whether the duo had sold any arms in the city during their stay here. Investigations were on, he said.
