Twenty two teams for Sr Div League

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
NEW DELHI, June 29: Twenty-two teams including last year's winners IAF (New Delhi) and runners-up Hindustan FC will take part in this year's Delhi Soccer Association-SAIL Sr Div football league championship starting at Ambedkar Stadium on July 1.

The participating teams have been divided in two groups, which was decided through draw of lots.

Six top teams from each group qualify for the super league. The two bottom teams from each group will be relegated to `A' division. Meanwhile, the managing committee of DSA has constituted a sub-committee comprising Dev Raj Katyal (chairman), Abdul Aziz (convenor), Mohd Khalil, Shanker Lal, N K Bhatia, D K Bose, Nagender Singh, Nawabuddin Zaheer, H V Chauhan, M M Sultan and Mohd Idris (members) to conduct the league.

SAIL will sponsor the tournament for the third successive year. Cosco has been appointed as the official ball of the league. Hindustan Football Club will award a LML scooter to the best footballer of the league which is expected to conclude in Sept, according to D K Bose org sect of the club. Besides, the club will also give a cash award of Rs 2,001 for the top scorer of the league.
