Pawar on whirlwind tour of Pimpri-Chinchwad

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
PUNE, June 30: Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar will be on a whirlwind tour to Pimpri-Chinchwad on Friday during which he will be inaugurating various civic developmental works. Pawar is also scheduled to address a public meeting and is likely to share the dias with his one time close associate, MP Ramkrishna More. Incidentally More has been highly critical of Pawar ever since the latter left the Congress and floated his new party.

It will be Pawar's first public meeting in Pimpri-Chinchwad since he formed his new party. While nearly forty of the 57 Congress corporators have supported Pawar, the extent of support from the grass root workers would be known at the public meeting. If Pawar and More happen to share the dias, which according to political observers is highly improbable, the meeting would attract much attention from the party workers and the common people alike.

Pawar is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the proposed PCMT bus depot at Rahatni survey number 20, inaugurate the vegetable market, maternity home at Sangvi, inaugurate a municipal school at Kalewadi, a multipurpose complex at Pimprigaon, inaugurate the Mahaveer Park created on the lines of Osho nallah park at Mohannagar Chinchwad, and name the Akurdi snake park as Nisargakavi Bahinabai Choudhary Park.
