MUMBAI, JUNE 30: Zeba Wadia, with two gold medals and Amar Muralidharan with three, starred for Maharashtra in the recently concluded 26th Junior National Aquatic Championships held at Jodhpur.Mumbai's Zeba grabbed top spot in the 100 and 200 metre breast stroke events while hauling two bronze medals as well. Pune's Muralidharan took gold in 200m, 400m freestyle and 200m butterfly while claiming two silver and one bronze.
Maharashtra ended with 41 medals together in both Group I (age group 15-18 years) and Group II (13-15) categories.
Other medal winners include Kaustubh Radkar (2 silver, 1 bronze), Avinash Kriplani (1 gold, 4 silver), Sahil Bhatia, Riyad Palia (1 gold, 2 silver), Tejaswi Shetty (5 silver, 1 bronze), Bhavna Sharma (1 silver, 2 bronze), Madhurika Ghatge (1 silver, 1 bronze) and Shi Yen Shu in individual events.
State girls smashed the meet record in the 4x100m medley relay clocking 5:00:78 (old record 5:04:69 held by Karnataka) but still finished second to Karnataka (4:56:70), theoverall champions.
