MUMBAI, JULY 1: The Narayan Rane Ministry has effected largescale transfers of senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers in the state.The Nagpur Police Commissionerate has been upgraded and O P Bali will be its first Additional Director General of Police. Controversial IPS officer Ulhas Joshi, former Nagpur Commissioner, has been posted as the Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) in Mumbai. Joshi will replace of Dr P S Pasricha.
D N Yadav, Commissioner of Intelligence, has been posted to the office of Director General of Police as Inspector General, Planning and Coordination. Inspector General R B Pawar from CID, Crime, Pune has been transferred as IG, Nagpur Range. Nagpur Deputy Inspector General, Dr Satyapal Singh would take over as Additional Commissioner of Police, Mumbai. Dr Singh will replace ``ruthless cop'' Y C Pawar, who will be the new Director of the Maharashtra Police Academy, Nashik.
Ramrao Ghadge, Commissioner of Police, Amravati, would take over as Additional Commissioner ofPolice in Mumbai. A N Rai, Joint Director, Special Protection Group, will now be the Navi Mumbai police commissioner in place of Sudhakar Ambedkar, whose posting has yet to be decided.
