Pakistan will have to back off -- Rahul Bose

It appears that we aren't at fault this time. Practically without exception, war is always a political game and it is always played only at that level. The only thing that sickens me about it is that innocent people die.

India, I think, is doing a great job of making itself out to be a martyr. We have been the perfect political opportunists in the scenario, and we are in a win-win situation from the very beginning. There is no way we can lose. This is a foolish manoeuvre by Pakistan . They'll have to back off and tell their forces to withdraw.

All they are doing with this kind of action is bringing everyone together under a common cause. As a nation, we have had little to look forward to. But now suddenly, we have patriotism to show to the world.

(As told to Ruchi Sharma)
