Sleeping man murdered One Rajendra Trinath Swai, a youth residing at Siddharthnagar slum of Pandesara area, was murdered on Wednesday night, the police said. According to a case registered in the Pandesara police station by Gopinath Trinath Swai, the victim, a textile labourer, was sleeping outside his house when some unidentified person hit him thrice with a sharp weapon in the neck at about 12.30 in the night. Family members got up and found Rajendra dead. The Pandesara police are investigating further after registering a case under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.Girl missing One Hemlata Gulab Patil (20), an unmarried girl, residing in Amroli area of the city, is missing since Wednesday afternoon, family members told the Katargam police on Thursday. A case registered by Gulab Daulat Patil -- the girl's father and a resident of 10, Ranglaxmi Society in Amroli -- said that the girl, a medium-built and fair girl, was wearing a pink dress when last seen. The girl also took some clothes along with her. Jeweller duped Two persons entered a jewellery shop on Navapura Karwa Road and duped the jeweller of ornaments worth Rs 48,000. One Hashim Moin Bashrai, owner of Gems and Jewellery shop on Karwa Road, told the Mahidharpura police that two entered his showroom and chose two rings and a gold locket and told him that they were showing these to their families waiting outside.
