Packers hold Hinduja

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
MUMBAI, JULY 1: Bandra Packers came from behind to draw 2-2 with P D Hinduja Hospital in the Mumbai District Football Association's Harwood League soccer match at the St Xavier's Ground, Parel today.

Ranzie Kalicharan struck twice for Packers to nullify Hinduja's early two goal advantage.

Rajesh Rane put Hinduja ahead in the seventh minute, working in tandem with Deepak Diwakaran and Santosh Kokate. Hinduja went into half-time leading 1-0.

Rane returned Diwakaran's favour in the second minute of the second half, feeding him in front of the goal for a header.

But while Hinduja rested on their laurels, Packers plotted a revival which came into force three minutes later. First, Kalicharan struck with his left foot from an acute angle off Lucian D'Souza and then, headed off Pascal Koli's free-kick in the 44th minute.

Rajesh Pendurkar's would have given Packers the win but for fortune playing truant. His well-directed corner kick was sent out by a flamboyant A Anwar's back heel flick in the dyingminutes.
