Inflation at 17-year low

NEW DELHI: The annual rate of inflation has dipped to a record 17-year low at 2.5 per cent. The annual rate of inflation, however, is bottoming out and can only go up. According to Amit Mitra, secretary general of FICCI, "This is the last phase of the lag-effect of the fall in wholesale price indices, and, as such, inflation will henceforth turn around and rise rather steeply."
