Four arrested
Four persons, including Parminder Singh of Kapurthala, Mohinder Singh of Sector 26, Om Prakash of Sector 12 and Saroj of Colony no. 4 of Chandigarh were arrested, having been found roaming under suspicious circumstances in the city. Avtar Singh of Dadumajra Colony was arrested for creating nuisance at public places.

Attempt to molest girl alleged
Harinder Prasad of Mauli Jagran reported that Manju Sharma of the same village had made an attempt to molest a girl. A case under Section 354 IPC has been registered at Manimajra Police Station.

Whiskey seized
Sukhchain Kumar of Colony no. 5 was arrested from Sector 47 and three boxes of whiskey recovered from his possession. A case under Section 61-1-14 of Excise Act has been registered.

Assault alleged
Hallomajra resident Shiv Kumar reported to the police that his son was assaulted by Seetal Kumar of the same village. A case under Section 324 IPC has been registered in Sector 31 Police Station and investigation is on.
