Today, the children presented a colourful programme of dance and music. But keeping in view the upsurge of patriotism they sang the national anthem before beginning their programme. They danced on film songs and sang `dhesh bhakti' songs. About 60 paintings made by children were also displayed. The theme of the paintings was `Salute to the Kargil Martyrs'. Organiser Vijay.K.Giri said that about 22 children in the age group of 3 to 13 years participated in the workshop.

Besides, learning painting, the children also rehearsed two plays, Ina Mina Dika' and `Hindustan Meri Jaan'. The former is being presently telecast on Jalandhar Doordarshan.
