Girl kidnapped, says mother

SURAT, July 4: The Sachin police have begun investigating a case in which a minor girl's mother complained that her daughter had been kidnapped by a neighbourhood youth for marriage.Rabiya Yusuf Shaikh, a resident of Bhindi Bazaar in Un village on the city's outskirts, told the Sachin police on Sunday afternoon that her 16-year-old daughter Nargis Shaikh had been kidnapped by one Nirmal Laxmi Pandey with the intention of compelling her into marriage.
