MUMBAI, JULY 4: All Parsees prevailed 1-0 over Saki Village Boys in Group B of the MDFA-conducted Harwood Football League at the St Xavier's ground, Parel, today.This was the second triumph for All Parsees. They had beaten Holy Family in their first outing.
All Parsees could have won by a more handsome margin, but their forwards were guilty of wasting several chances.
The all-important goal came in the 45th minute. A pass by Ardeshir Jeejibhoy to Hosang Sinor, saw the latter run down and beat a defender before placing the ball past Saki Village Boys Johnson D'Souza.
Saki Village Boys had a chance for the equaliser in the 47th minute, but Johnson Fernandes' attempt was saved by Parsees goalkeeper Sharom.A minute from the final whistle, Saki Village goalkeeper Johnson brought down Shaeen Mistry and was sent off by referee Xavier Faria. From the resultant penalty, Mistry's shot hit the post and went out.

Otters steal show
With a wealth of talent in their midst, three teams from Otters Club qualified for the semi-finals of the Professional Squash Association's Rs 10,500 Jindal Cup handicap squash team event at Vasind, today. Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana was the other side to make the grade.
While Otters A and B had a fairly smooth run in the league phase among the 10 participating teams who had been divided into two groups, Otters C edged out hosts Jindal B, 3-2, in a thriller.
Saket Wali clinched the issue for Otters C by defeating Vikas Jangra after the rivals were level at 16-all in the final game of the decider. Wali won at 17-16 with Jangra hitting the tin.
Willingdon Catholic Gymkhana emerged as a surprise packet. They won a key encounter when they defeated Jindal C 4-1 but they could not match Otters A and went down 0-5.
Recently adopted by the Indian SquashProfessionals, 17-year-old Priyanka Yadav underlined her potential by defeating Vijay Jangra 15-12, 15-13. Her success was significant as it enabled The Leela to overcome Jindal A 3-2.
