SGCMA to hold seminar on Thursday
The South Gujarat College Management Association (SGCMA) and SGU Affiliated Colleges Principals' Association have organised a day's convention on hurdles in the way of higher education becoming self-financed. SGCMA president Chhotubhai Peethawala will preside over the function, to be held at Amroli's Arts and Commerce College on July 8. While Minister of State for higher education and technical education Bharat Barot will be the chief guest of the convention, SGU vice-chancellor Prem Kumar Sharda and president of Nadiad Education Society Dr R P Patel will also remain present for the function. Secretary of Sarvajanik Education Society Dr Ramesh Oza and Principal of Chikhli Arts and Commerce College Dr Bharatbhai Naik will speak on the topic.

Admission list
The District Education Office (DEO) in a statement issued on Monday evening said that a list of students who had applied for the general and science streams for Class XI admissions will be made public on Tuesday morning. The list of students will be available at the zonal office set up at R D Contractor High School at 11 am on Tuesday morning, the release added. The release further said that students will be eligible to get direct admission in the respective schools against their names without further delay.

Appointed
K S Detroji has been appointed as the District Panchayat Agricultural Officer, an official statement issued here on Monday said. Detroji has took over charge from July 1, the statement said.

IPCL honoured
VADODARA:
Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (IPCL) has won the prestigious safety award from British Safety Council for the third consecutive year.
