Four people reported missing from Surat city

SURAT, JULY 5: Four people were missing from different parts of the city, cases registered in the police stations on Monday said.

According to the police, one Chanduben Dinesh Harpani, a 24-year-old married woman, residing at plot no 1, Nilgagan Apartments is missing since April 1. Ranchhod Lavji Harpani, the woman's relative, complained to the police that Chanduben left her house on April 1, saying that she was going to meet her friends but did not return.

When last seen, the woman was wearing a pink saree and some jewellery like a gold chain, ear rings and other ornaments. According to another case registered at the Chowk Bazaar police station on Monday morning, one Dinesh Mohan Modi, a 25-year-old SMC employee is missing since July 2. Kalidas Modi, Dinesh's uncle, told the police that Dinesh signed the SMC muster book at 6 pm while leaving the premises on July 2, but did not return to Bharuch, where he was staying. The Chowk Bazaar police are investigating further.

One Jaywardhan Amrut Khatri, a resident of Kharwarnagar area of Udhna, is also missing since July 1, his wife told the police on Monday. In the fourth case registered in the Chowk bazaar police station, 55-year-old Chandu Purshottam Gotawala (Modi) is missing since Sunday evening.
