The SFI selection committee, which met here yesterday at the end of the National Sub-junior championship, named 20 swimmers, including six women, for the South Asian Federation Games to come off in Kathmandu in September.

The squads for the Asia-Pacific meet will be undergoing coaching in camps to begin in Delhi and Bangalore from July 15, an SFI release today said.

The two major names missing from the SAF probables list are freestyle ace Sebastian Xavier and top butterfly swimmer Suresh Kumar. Xavier could not attend the trials, but is expected to be included at a later stage.

The squad for the Asia Pacific meet includes 22 girls and 15 divers. Competition will be held in open (18 years and above), Group I (15-17 years), Group II (13-14) and Group III (11-12) categories.
