Handwriting expert testifies in blasts case
UNITED NEWS OF INDIA
MUMBAI, July 6: S P Singh, a hand writing expert, today certified before the designated court trying the Mumbai blasts case under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act that the signature obtained on plain paper from two accused in the serial blasts case matched with thosefound in the register of a hotel in Rajasthan where they had booked themselves under assumed names. Officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had arrested the accused, Nasik Dakhla and Murad Khan, from the hotel.According to the prosecution, Dakhla and Khan were involved in the blasts conspiracy and had actively participated in the explosions on March 12, 1993.Officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation produced the register of the hotel before designated TADA judge P D Kode trying the case.
