Muslims rally against intrusion
Surat:
The All-Surat Muslim Association will hold a massive rally against the Pakistani intrusion in Kargil on Wedbnesday. Hundreds of schoolchildren and Muslims from all walks of life are expected to join the rally at 2.30 pm. Starting from Bhagal Char Rasta, the rally will reach the collectorate after passing through Bhaga talav and Nanpura. A memorandum will be presented to collector.

Trust formed to collect funds
Residents of Surat-Rander road have formed a trust -- Manav Seva Parishad -- to collect funds for families of Kargil martyrs. The Parishad has organised a rally on July 10, which will begin from Adajan crossroads and end near the residence of slain municipal councillor Nitaben Satbhaya. The trust is headed by Jitendra Dalia, who is associated with Surat Citizens' Council and Andhajan Shikshan Mandal.

Congress to collect funds
VAdodara:
The city unit of the Congress will take out a rally in Vadodara on Wednesday to collect funds for family members of jawans who have lost their lives fighting in Kargil. The rally will start from Mandvi at 4 p.m. and culminate at Kothi before passing through Nyay Mandir, Ahmedabadi Pole and Raopura.

Bank workers asked to give day's pay
The chairman and managing director of the Syndicate Bank on Tuesday appealed to the bank staff to contribute a day's salary for the soldiers fighting the Pakistani intruders in Kargil. A bank release said that the staff training college of the bank, staff of Mandvi, Raopura and Alkapuri branches here had immediately responded to the call.
