Sale of Cup photos for a cause
In a unique fund-raising, around 1,500 colour photographs of top cricketers who figured in the recent World Cup would be sold to fans on July 11 to raise funds for the familiies of the soliders fighting in Kargil. The sale of photographs, taken by Pradeep Mandhani, would be organised at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from 5.00 p.m. to coincide with the exhibition match to be played between current Indian cricketers and film stars. The poster size photographs, some of which will be autographed, have been priced at Rs 250 each and the money would be put in a box by the fans themselves which would later be deposited in the National Defence Fund, according to a release from the photographer here today.Ambedkar prize money tourney
The Independent Labour Party will organise the first Ambedkar Memorial prize money cricket tournament from July 18 at Telephone Exchange ground (Yamuna Vihar).
The winners and runners-up will receive Rs 21,000 and Rs 11,000, respectively. Top teams will participate in this tournament according to Randhir Singh, organising secretary of the tournament.

Jawahar Singh cricket
