Crime Watch -- Surat

Boy missing
A three-year-old boy is missing since Saturday afternoon, the Udhna police were informed today. Chingasan Paramanand Yadav, a resident of 347, Kashinagar Society in Udhna told the police that his son Satyanaran is missing since Saturday noon. The boy, wearing a pair of blue trousers, was last seen playing in front of the house. The father also told the police that Satyanaran has a burn scar on his left hand. PSI R M Nayak is investigating.

Dead
Bipin Sana Thummar (18), a youth from Kapoorwadi in Kapodara was brought dead to the Ashaktashram hospital by his brother Ramnik, according to Dr Bharat Patel of the hospital who informed the police. The post mortem report is awaited by the police to ascertain the cause of death. The boy died around 3 am today morning. PSI K B Minama is investigating.

Attacked
A man attacked his brother-in-law with a knife, inflicting injuries on his hip and back on Saturday night, the Mahidharpura police stated. Jayanti Savji Rathod of Naginwadi slum on Vastadevdi Road told the police that his brother-in-law Naresh Manga Rathod came to his house drunk and assaulted him after a brief argument before fleeing. The complainant also told the police that Manga had deserted his wife (the complainant's sister) about four months ago and had come to meet her when the incident took place. The Mahidharpura police have registered a case under section 324 of the Indian Penal Code 1860.

Vehicle theft
n A Hero Honda motorcycle (GJ 5 S 1518) was stolen from the parking of Gandhi Smruti Bhawan on the night of July 6, according to a case registered with the Athwalines police on Sunday. Sahgir Jayanti Shah, the owner, told the police that he had kept the vehicle in the parking at around 8 pm and returned a couple of hours later to find it stolen.
