NSG frees hostages after 30-hour drama
After a tense 30 hours, the hostage crisis in the BSF complex here came to an end this morning when National Security Guard (NSG) commandos rescued the five children, four women and three BSF personnel, all unharmed.
Pak still trying to hold out
Though Pakistani soldiers continued to retreat in most sectors, the Army yesterday found indications that they were not vacating the territory completely but making bases along the Line of Control (LoC).

Pakistan has reportedly insisted that no deadline had been set for withdrawal of infiltrators and accused India of indulging in false propaganda by claiming to a July 16 deadline.
