Thirty girls get tailoring certificates

CHANDIGARH, JULY 18: The Chandigarh Social Welfare Advisory Board chairperson, Kamla Sharma, distributed certificates to successful candidates of a six-month tailoring course held at Khuda Jassu village. Thirty economically backward girls benefited from this programme, which will help them to be economically independent, it is learnt.

Kamla Sharma, in her address, urged the panches, sarpanches and villagers to extend their cooperation for development in villages by implementing various welfare programmes. She also apprised the participants about various social activities held for improving living conditions of women and children.
