One dies in road accident

DERA BASSI, JULY 18: A factory worker was killed and a Dera Bassi resident injured in road accident that took place late last evening.

According to police sources, a Chandigarh-bound Canter hit the scooter being driven by Rajesh after hitting the moped of Sadhu Singh. While Rajesh died on the spot, Sadhu Singh was injured seriously and admitted in PGI. His condition was stated to be stable. The police have registered a case against the driver of the Canter. However, no arrests have been made in this regard.
