PATNA, JULY 19: With ten more deaths reported from Darbhanga, the toll in the current spell of floods in Bihar has increased to 106 as the overall situation continued to be grim in flood-hit districts.Official sources said ten people were drowned when a country boat capsized in a rivulet near Bishunpur village in the worst-hit Darbhanga district.
The situation in Darbhanga further worsened with turbulent Bagmati and Kamala Balan rivers over-topping danger level at several places, the sources said adding strict vigil was being kept on their embankments.
Bagmati was flowing two metres above danger mark at Hayaghat they said.
Fresh areas were inundated under Bahadurpur block in Darbhanga as Kamala Balan river breached its embankment.
