Arun Gawli opens website
PUNE:
From the underworld to cyberworld is the latest venture undertaken by don Arun Gawli. And presto! There is a new website on the net for, of and by Gawli himself.

Celebrating his 47th birthday, the Akhil Bharatiya Sena decided to hit the worldwide web to list its achievements and register its master's speeches. The site also promises to list the candidates of the upcoming elections that the ABS will field. The ABS also promises that the site will be regularly updated and its manifesto and future plans will be posted for all to see. So those interested can check out www.akhilbharatiyasena.com.

Sugar co-op MD booked
PUNE: The Junnar police on Saturday booked the managing director of the Vighanar Cooperative Sugar Factory, Junnar, for allegedly violating the election code of conduct.

According to the police, Rajaram Borkar failed to return all the vehicles used by the elected representatives as per the election code of conduct. According to the directive issued by district collector, Vijaykumar Gautam all government vehicles were to be handed over as per the directives of the Election Commission.

Borkar allegedly failed to ensure that all the vehicles used by the elected representatives of the cooperative returned the vehicles given to them. He was arrested and later released on bail following a complaint filed by the tehsildar Vivek Kaluram Agvane. The Junnar police is investigating.

Patil, NCP chief for Satara
SATARA:
Chairman of Hutatma Kisan Veer sugar cooperative Laxman Patil has been appointed president of the Satara district unit of the Nationalist Congress Party.

A former Congressman who had ousted MPCC president Prataprao Bhosale from the HKV sugar factory about three years back, Patil had left the Congress after Sharad Pawar's coup against the party president.

A probable NCP contender for Lok Sabha from Satara, Patil has been confident of the Pawar-led party winning both the parliamentary seats from the district.

MITCON branch
SATARA: Maharashtra Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organisation (MITCON) recently opened its branch office in Satara.

MITCON imparts training in entrepreneurship, consultancy to set private manufacturing units and also market potentiality for the manufactured goods. It also helps to get the bank finances upto Rs two lakhs to the entrepreneurs.
