Neha, Tushar in next round

CHANDIGARH, July 20: Neha Singh of Chandigarh outplayed Nidhi Shah of Maharasthra 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 to get a berth in the next round matches in the under-14 girls categories in the All India Sub-Junior and Mini tennis tournament at Secunderabad. According to information received here, Neha down by a set rallied to beat her opponent to keep her hopes alive for the title.

Tushar Liberan also of Chandigarh got the better of J Jayanth of Karnataka 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 to sail into the second round of the under-14 boys group.

Chatwinder Singh, another budding player from the city is third seed in the boys under-16 section. He will play Rohan of Andhra Pradesh in his match tomorrow.
