VADODARA, July 21: Dahod police arrested six arms peddlers belonging to Madhya Pradesh and seized seven 0.32 bore countrymade pistols from their possession during checking of vehicles at Katla outpost on the Gujarat-MP border three days ago.According to District Superintendent of Police K L N Rao, four people were caught with the firearms from a Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation bus coming from Ujjain and headed for Anand. The firearms were found during a baggage check.
Two others were arrested from Madhya Pradesh on information received from the arrested four. All of them belong to the Silkigar community which is engaged in the manual manufacturing of different kinds of steel and iron utensils and equipment.
