ICIL joins hands with Microsoft

MUMBAI, JULY 24: International Computers (India) Limited, a multinational company jointly owned by Fujitsu, ICL. RPG and Jardine Fleming, has tied up with Microsoft for building electronic commerce solutions using its technologies. The tie-up is part of ICIL's aggressive focus on e-commerce in the coming months.

In the next three years 40 per cent of its revenues would come from this stream, president and CEO L C Singh said at a press conference in the city. The $ 35 million company will also introduce an e-commerce product by March 2000 and in a separate initiative, two sites targeted at vertical segments.The two segments have already been identified and ICIL is currently exploring partnerships with companies with technical know-how. Technological inputs would come from ICIL and industry-specific data from the partner.
