HILVERSUM, NETHERLANDS, JULY 24: Jeev Milkha Singh made the cut at the Dutch Open with a one under 70 card in the second round on Friday. Jeev, who missed making the British Open, had a first round one over 72 and is now par for two rounds. Jeev was lying joint 45th with 14 others.India-born Daniel Chopra missed the cut after a poor second round six over 77 to go with his first round two over 73. He finished eight over for two rounds and crashed out as the cut was applied at one 143.
Republic of Ireland's Philip Walton earned a share of the lead following Friday's second round, helped by a freak happening at a petrol station. It was a real five-star performance by Walton mainly thanks to a putter borrowed from someone he bumped into while filling up his car. He only needed 24 putts in his 66 to share the lead with Argentinian Eduardo Romero.

OHIO: Simi Mehra of India was lying joint 11th with six others after the first round of the one million dollar LPGA Giant EagleClassic at Warren Ohio on Friday. The only Indian woman pro on the LPGA carded a four under 68.Jackie Gallagher-Smith and Spaniard Marta Figueras-Dotti, neither of whom rank among the top 100 on the LPGA money list, shared the lead after Friday's first round.
Gallagher-Smith matched the lowest round of her LPGA career with a 6-under-par 66 shortly before Figueras-Dotti equaled her with a torrid closing run at the Avalon Lakes Golf Course.
Defending champion Se Ri Pak, who has won all three LPGA events she has played in Ohio, turned in an opening-round 69.
