CALCUTTA: An under-19 Indian soccer team will visit Mauritius on a goodwill tour from August 11-26.

Prasun Banerjee has been appointed the technical director and Goutam Sarkar the coach of the squad. The 20-member team will be selected after two coaching camps, the first of which which will be at the Sports Authority of India complex here.

CAB donation

Calcutta: The Cricket Association of Bengal today donated Rs 10 lakhs to the Central Army Welfare Fund for the soldiers who laid down their lives while fighting Pakistani intruders in Kargil.

CAB president Jagmohan Dalmiya handed over the cheque to Major General OS Lohchab, GOC Bengal area, who was the chief guest at the association's annual prize distribution function.

Sporting held

CALCUTTA: Mohammedan Sporting were held goalless by a spirited Eastern Railways in their Super Division league match at their home ground here on Saturday. Sporting have won just one of their three league matches,having drawn the other two.

MTNL in final

COIMBATORE: Hosts TN will face MTNL, Mumbai in the women's final of the All-India Telecom Kabbadi Tournament In women's section, Tamil Nadu and MTNL, Mumbai entered finals on league basis. TN face a stiff challenge from the Mumbai team.
