BHUBANESWAR, AUG 1: Four siblings, heart-broken over financial constraints and illness of their mother, committed suicide by jumping into the flooded Kolab river near Koraput on Friday, according to a delayed official report reaching here.The children, two sisters and two brothers, had left home that day leaving behind a note for their father informing him of their decision to commit suicide because of acute poverty and the terminal illness of their mother, the reports said.
They reportedly jumped into the water from a railway bridge and were drowned. The bodies were fished out on Saturday by fire brigade personnel. The children were in the age group of 12 to 22 with the eldest being a girl.
