Youth held for abetting suicide

VADODARA, Aug 2: The youth accused of molesting a girl, who later committed suicide, in the B C Patel School of Changa village, Petlad taluka, Anand, was arrested by the Anand police on Sunday and sent to judicial custody.He had been initially arrested under Section 354 Indian Penal Code and released on bail. But Section 306 relating to the abetment of suicide, was added to the FIR after the girl expired at the SSG Hospital here after a week. The incident triggered tension in the village and police had to be sent from Nadiad to maintain law and order in the village.
